The Holiday
Here the focus is on you.
A typical first day one on Corazon :
You will be collected from the airport and taken to your sailing charter yacht Corazon where your Skipper and Hostess will welcome you on board and show you to your cabin.
Over a glass of champagne we will discuss what you want from your holiday and agree an itinerary for sailing around the Ionian islands. We will also take this opportunity to cover health and safety aspects of life on board, and to answer any questions you may have at this time.
Depending on the time of your arrival, current weather conditions and your personal preferences, there will be free time to explore the locality and enjoy some Greek cuisine and hospitality in one of the many local tavernas. Should you prefer, we will weigh anchor and slip away and start your holiday exploring the Ionian sea.
Of course, all planned sailing itineraries are subject to change depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

Kefalonia (Cephalonia) the Island:
Kefallinia, Kefallonia, Kefalonia, Cephalonia however you spell the name it amounts to the same thing ....... a magical island full of stunning scenery.
Kefalonia is the largest, if not the greenest, of the Ionian islands. Nevertheless it does have a pine tree – the Abies cephalonica – named after it although
contrary to popular myth it is found all over Greece and not only on Kefalonia. Kefalonia by sea is different to Kefalonia by land. When sailing in the waters around Kefalonia you will have a unique view of the island. You will be able to really appreciate the changing scenery as you pass by the base of the imposing mountains which drop straight down into the crystal clear water.
Ithaka
Ithaka is famed for its historical - and mythical - connection with
Homer’s Odyssey.
Homer is said to have written two epic poems the Illyad and the Odyssey circa 9th century BC, although there is much conjecture
regarding the writing of these classics.
The Odyssey is the story of Odysseus, and his escapades during his
return to Ithaka after the Trojan War.
Recent History
Louis de Berniere’s novel “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” brought the island of Kefalonia
into the holiday consciousness of many who bought the book. Set against the backdrop of the Italian occupation of the island during the second world war and their non co-operation with the arriving Germans it tells of the love story of Pegalia, a local doctor’s daughter and a Captain Corelli. However it's attention to the history of the Second World War and it's impact on the island, makes it much more than a
love story.
